17-year-old girl shot dead by office assistant in her Bengaluru school hostel
There have been no arrests made yet and the suspect in the shooting is currently absconding, Bengaluru police said.

A 17-year-old school-going girl was shot dead in a Bengaluru hostel on Tuesday night by a office assistant of the institution she attended.The girl's friend was reportedly also injured in the firing which took place in the Pragathi school in the south east region of the city. She has reportedly been admitted into a nearby hospital for treatment.[caption id="attachment_2182079" align="alignleft" width="380"]

The identities of the victims in this case was not available immediatelyThe report also said that it wasn't ascertained whether the attack was pre-planned. The police are also looking into whether the victim knew her killer and whether the office assistant had made any overtures towards the student in the past.
