Yeddy's bail hearing adjourned till Thursday

Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court today adjourned further hearing till tomorrow the petitions filed by former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, currently lodged in central prison, seeking regular bail in two corruption cases.Arguments remained inconclusive before Justice BV Pinto.In these two cases, the 68-year-old BJP leader was remanded to judicial custody by the Special Lokayukta Court.[caption id="attachment_121645" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddurappa. AFP"][/caption]Judge NK Sudhindra Rao on October 15 — first to October 22 and then to 3 November.The cases were registered by Lokayukta police on private complaints by city advocate Sirijan Basha alleging that Yeddyurappa had denotified governments lands for the benefit of his family members.Yeddyurappa had moved the high court for bail after Special Lokayukta Judge N K Sudhindra Rao rejected his plea for the relief.Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa's petitions seeking anticipatory bail in the remaining three corruption cases filed against him by city advocate Sirajin Basha will come up for hearing before Justice H Billappa in the High Court tomorrow.Yeddyurappa's sons, BY Raghavendra and BY Vijayendra, and son-in-law RN Sohan Kumar, co-accused in these three cases, have also sought anticipatory bail.PTI
