Mayawati accuses UPA of hindering UP's development

Greater Noida: Targeting the UPA government at the Centre, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP supremo Mayawati today accused it of hindering the state's development by not providing a special economic package to it as demanded by her party.Addressing a poll rally here, she alleged the economic package sought by the BSP from the UPA government was yet to see the light of the day.This had put obstacles in the state's development, the BSP leader said.Attacking Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, the BSP chief said his claims of development of the state, if his party was voted to power, were misleading."For almost 40 years the Congress was in power in the state. I want black money of all political groups back in the country," she said.Slamming the Samajwadi Party, Mayawati said Mulayam Singh's party, if voted to power, would bring 'goonda raj' in the state and women would be the worst affected.The BSP head promised steady development of the state in the event of her party forming govenment in UP again.PTI
