Over 150 labourers shifted to relief camp in Manipur after regional violence

Migrant labourers in other areas had been asked to work in those areas where security personnel were deployed, police said.

Imphal: At least 168 labourers, mostly migrant daily wage earners, are currently staying at a relief camp here following the killing of nine non-Manipuri workers last week, police said today.These labourers had been brought from different parts of Imphal west, Imphal east, Thoubal and Bishenpur districts and were staying here under police protection, they said.[caption id="attachment_1116925" align="alignleft" width="380"]Representational image.
