Now Metro cards can be used in buses too

New Delhi: Very soon, Delhi Metro commuters can use their 'Smart Cards' to travel in DTC and cluster buses in the city that would eventually be integrated with the national common mobility card.The step would help commuters use all kinds of transport in the city with one single card and make payments through that.[caption id="attachment_212970" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Reuters"][/caption]To facilitate its implement, a series of high-level meetings have taken place at the level of Union Urban Development Secretary and Principal Secretary of the DelhiGovernment's Transport Department.Urban Development Secretary Sudhir Krishna told reporters today that the 'More' cards will be introduced initially in the cluster buses and later in buses run by the Delhi Transport Corporation.He said the aim is to allow commuters to make all kinds of payment through one card, but it would be done in a phased manner.PTI
