Mumbai: Diversified financial services provider India Infoline (IIFL) today appointed Nipun Goel as president of its investment banking division.

Goel will lead the investment banking team at IIFL Capital, the company said in a statement. Prior to joining IIFL, Goel was managing director and head of investment banking at Nomura India and has experience of over 15 years. He was also associated with DSP-Merrill Lynch as managing director.

"I believe he will play a valuable role in the growth of our investment banking business," IIFL chairman Nirmal Jain said in a statement.
