NFL back in profit, posts Rs 23.02 cr net for Q3
NFL has two manufacturing plants in Punjab and one each in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.

New Delhi: State-run National Fertilisers Ltd (NFL) has bounced back to profit in the third quarter of 2013-14 fiscal with a net profit of Rs 23.02 crore on higher sales. It had reported a loss of Rs 12.42 crore in the same period last fiscal. Previously, the PSU had posted a profit in July-September period of 2012-13.[caption id="attachment_1386623" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Andrew Middleton/Flickr[/caption]Total income during the October-December period this fiscal rose to Rs 2,482.33 crore, from against Rs 1,819.97 crore in the same period of 2012-13, the company said in a filing to the BSE. Its net sales were up by 36 percent to Rs 2,480.49 crore against Rs 1,818.38 crore in the period under review. NFL has two manufacturing plants in Punjab and one each in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. Shares of the company were today up by 2.63 percent at Rs 23.45 on the BSE, in the late afternoon trade. PTI
