Mukherjee arrives on a two-day visit to West Bengal
After an overnight stay at the Raj Bhavan, Mukherjee will leave for Durgapur to attend the 9th convocation of the National Institute of Technology.

Kolkata: President Pranab Mukherjee arrived in Kolkata today on a two-day visit to the state, during which he is scheduled to attend functions at three educational institutions. The President was received at the NSC Bose International Airport here by Governor MK Narayanan, state Planning Minister Rachpal Singh and other senior officials.[caption id="attachment_1242691" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Image courtesy PIB[/caption] Mukherjee, from the airport, straightaway went to the Science City to inaugurate an International Conference on Accountancy Profession organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). After an overnight stay at the Raj Bhavan, Mukherjee will leave for Durgapur to attend the 9th convocation of the National Institute of Technology.After that, he will attend the annual convocation of Burdwan University and lay the foundation stone of the Golden Jubilee Building there on Friday.He will then leave for New Delhi on a special IAF plane from the Air Force base at Panagarh in Burdwan, official sources said.
