Manipur's five hill districts ready for repoll
The repoll was necessary due to malfunctioning of electronic voting machines and irregularities found during the assembly elections on 28 January.

Imphal: All arrangements have been completed for the repoll in five hill districts of Manipur on Saturday with security and polling personnel reaching at the 34 polling stations, an election official said today.[caption id="attachment_202906" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Voting again. [/caption]About 28,076 voters would exercise their franchise at 34 polling stations stations in the hill districts of Ukhrul, Churachandpur,Tamenglong, Senapati and Chandel.The repoll was necessary due to malfunctioning of electronic voting machines and irregularities found during the assembly elections on 28 January last, the official said. The repoll would be held between 7am to 3pm and electronic machines from interior parts of the hill areas would be brought to the district headquarters by helicopter. Counting of votes for the assembly elections would be held on 6 March next, the official said. PTI
