Lokayukta Court summons fmr K'taka CM

Bangalore: The Lokayukta Court today ordered issue of summons to former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and three others in a private plea against them alleging violation of rules in ordering denotification of land.Judge N K Sudhindra Rao ordered issue of notices to Kumaraswamy, former minister C Chennigappa and two others and directed that they appear before the court on 21st March.[caption id="attachment_284081" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="High Court had yesterday granted anticipatory bail to Kumaraswamy in the case."][/caption]One Mahadevaswamy, in his private complaint, had alleged that Kumaraswamy ordered denotification of 3.8 acres in 2007 when he was heading the JDS-BJP coalition government at the behest of Chennigappa in violation of rules.The land had been acquired by the Bangalore Development Authority for formation of residential sites in Arakavathy layout, the complaint alleged.The Lokayukta police had filed a chargesheet against Kumaraswamy, Chennigappa, Dr Raviprakash and Sriram, the erstwhile owners of the land, on 16th April.The High Court had yesterday granted anticipatory bail to Kumaraswamy in the case and Chennigappa has moved the Lokayukta court today for a similar relief.PTI
