Gender equality is a myth, says Beyonce

Los Angeles: Singer Beyonce Knowles says that gender equality is a myth and there should be equal pay for equal work.Knowles has written an essay for The Shriver Report, a media initiative led by journalist and former California first lady Maria Shriver, that aims to document and discuss societal trends that impact women, reports people.com.[caption id="attachment_1339063" align="alignleft" width="380"] Beyonce Knowles. But unless women and men both say this is unacceptable, things will not change," she wrote.She also wrote that men should join their wives, daughters, mothers and sisters in demanding equal pay for equal work.IANS
