Defence Minister AK Antony's sister passes away

Kochi: Sister Infant Teresa, the eldest sister of Defence Minister AK Antony, passed away at a private hospital in Kochi due to kidney failure.
Sister Teresa (80) died last night. She was admitted to the hospital on 2 July and was undergoing treatment for kidney failure, hospital sources said.
She was one of the senior most nuns of St Joseph's convent at Pattanakad near Cherthala in Alappuzha district. She was Provincial Superior of the Franciscan Clarist Congregation's Ernakulam province for several years.

The cremation would take place at Kunnupuram Puthanpalli at Cherthala on 8 July, after Antony returns from his visit to China, family sources said.
