Dainik Bhaskar picks up 2.7 pc stake in Edserv for Rs 15 cr

Mumbai: IT training services provider Edserv Softsystems today said Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar has picked up a 2.7 percent stake in the firm for Rs 15 crore.

"The Hindi daily is investing Rs 15 crore for a 2.7 percent stake in Edserv through the issue of fully convertible equity warrants," the IT training services provider said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In addition, Edserve Softsystems has bought the e-learning online content of Prosel Ventures for Rs 35 crore in an all-stock deal, the filing added.

Chennai-based Prosel specialises in providing online content for chartered accountant (CA) and company secretary (CS) aspirants, including video lectures and animated content.

Shares of Edserv Softsystems were trading at Rs 90.60 on the BSE, down 3.82 percent from their previous close.
