Murray tried to hide medicines before calling 911: MJ's guard

Los Angeles: Michael Jackson's bodyguard Alberto Alvarez, who took the witness stand in the death trial of the singer today, claimed doctor Conrad Murray asked him to hide drug vials and an IV bag before calling 911.The defence lawyers, however, attacked Alvarez's testimony, saying his account of the doctor's actions wasphysically impossible and influenced by offers of huge sums from tabloids.Murray, Jackson's personal physician at the time of his death, is charged with causing the singer's death by accidentally giving him a fatal dose of the anaesthetic Propofol to help the singer fight his chronic insomnia.Murray has pleaded not guilty in the case. Reuters."][/caption]Alvarez was the first person to reach Jackson's bedroom after his doctor called for help.He claimed that before Murray asked him to dial the emergency, he ordered him to gather up drug bottles, vials and an IV bag of a "milky, white substance.""I thought we were packing up for getting ready to go to the hospital," he claimed, adding that he followed the instructions because he believed the doctor had the best intentions.Some 11 bottles of Propofol were discovered by the investigators stashed in a cabinet in another bedroom ofJackson's rented mansion. Jackson died on June 25, 2009.Alvarez said Jackson's daughter Paris and son Prince were present in the room when Jackson died."Paris screamed out, 'Daddy,'" Alvarez said, adding that Murray told him to get her out. "Don't let them see their dad that way," Murray reportedly told the guard.He said he ushered her and her brother Prince out of the room with assurances that "everything will be OK."Jackson's personal chef, Kai Chase also testified and said the three children Prince, Paris and Blanket were playing when Murray came down in a "panic"."Get help! Get Security! Get Prince!," Murray shouted. "I dropped what I was doing and I ran to get Prince. I said: 'Hurry, Dr Murray needs you. There may be something wrong with your father'," said Chase.The chef says she went back to work and did not see whether the boy went upstairs with the doctor."Dr Murray was very disturbed. I remained in the kitchen and then I saw the housekeeper crying. I saw the children. The children were crying and screaming. The next thing we did was we hugged and we held hands in a circle and prayed. The energy did not feel good. We didn't know what was going on."PTI
