BMC ready to tackle monsoon
Maharashtra Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Patangarao Kadam today expressed satisfaction over Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) preparation to tackle the monsoon.

[/caption]"The control room of the BMC is well-equipped with advanced technology. It will help in tackling the flood-like situation, if it arises," Kadam told reporters after reviewing the preparation of the disaster management cell of BMC.BMC commissioner Sitaram Kunte informed Kadam how the the civic body's headquarter was connected with various wards to deal with the flood-like situation.Kadam also said that he would also review the monsoon preparations of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).Additional Municipal Commissioner Manisha Mhaiskar, Principal Secretary of Relief and Rehabilitation department Praveen Pardeshi were present during the meeting.PTI
