Bachchan to undergo abdominal surgery today
Big B, who has a history of stomach ailments, had written on his blog, 'A surgery that I shall be undergoing on the 11th morning and the surgery they say is not too complicated.'

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan would be undergoing an abdominal surgery today at the Seven Hills hospital in suburban Andheri.On February 9, Bachchan had revealed about the operation on his blog. The actor had said he will get a CT scan done on Friday, but did not reveal the hospital he will be treated at. However, sources said that he is to undergo the surgery at Seven Hills hospital today."Ok in hospital and ready to get some investigations, before they allow me to sleep," Bachchan wrote on his blog. He had suffered a near fatal intestinal injury while filming a fight scene in 1982 movie 'Coolie' following which he remained in hospital for months."My stomach which has already been the bed of many complicated battles in the past, shall have to entertain thisas well," Bachchan said.The veteran also thanked his well wishers and fans ahead of the surgery on his blog early this morning. "I wish to thank all those that have most graciously sent in their concern and greetings for a speedy recovery. Your prayers shall go a long way in bringing me back to normal and for this I am always eternally grateful," he wrote.Superstar Shahrukh Khan also tweeted wishing Bachchan a speedy recover.PTI
