United Breweries Q4 profit falls to Rs 5.85 cr

New Delhi: United Breweries today reported astandalone net profit at Rs 5.85 crore for the fourth quarterended March 31, 2013.
The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 7.28crore in same quarter of 2011-12 fiscal, United Breweries
said in a filing to BSE.Standalone income of the company during the quarter wasRs 1,003.62 crore. It stood at Rs 937.38 crore in the year-agoperiod.

The figures for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 are notcomparable with those of corresponding period of the previous
year due to the amalgamation of UB Ajanta Breweries with thecompany during the previous financial year, it said.
For the financial year ended in March 31, 2013, UnitedBreweries posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 172.11 crore.It was Rs 126.77 crore in the 2011-12 fiscal.
Total consolidated income of the company in 2012-13 wasat Rs 3,898.74 crore. It stood at Rs 3,559.28 crore in FY'12.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, the company said itsBoard of Directors has recommended a dividend of 70 paisa per
equity share of Re 1.
They also approved payment of 3 per cent dividend oncumulative redeemable preference shares to Scottish &
Newcastle India Ltd.Shares of United Breweries today closed at Rs 736 perscrip, down 1.67 per cent from previous close on BSE.
