Maruti incident will not hamper investments in Haryana: CM Hooda

"One untoward incident cannot have so many implications. The incident won't have any impact on the investment friendly atmosphere and future of industries in the state. I can assure that," Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said.

Kolkata: The violence at Maruti Suzuki's Manesar plant, which left one senior executive dead, will not impact on investments in Haryana, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said Sunday.

Senior Maruti executive Awanish Kumar Dev was killed and nearly 100 people were injured after the workers went on a rampage. The plant has shut down operations after the 18 July incident.

Ten Maruti Suzuki union leaders were Thursday sent to police custody for seven days by a court here for their alleged role in the 18 July violence at the Manesar plant that left an executive dead.
