L&T wins Rs 2,410 construction project

Business conglomerate L&T's construction arm has won Rs 2,410 crore new orders across various businesses during in the last quarter from developers for building residential towers.

Engineering major Larsen & Toubro today said its construction arm has won Rs 2,410 crore new orders across various businesses during April-June 2012.

"L&T Construction, part of the Laresn & Toubro conglomerate has bagged new orders valued at Rs 2,410 crore. The Buildings and Factories IC (independent company) has secured new orders worth Rs 1,921 crore," it said in a statement.

The orders were bagged from leading developers for the construction of major residential towers across various cities in the northern part of the country, it added. The company said that its infrastructure arm has won orders worth Rs 345 crore for the design and construction of viaducts and three elevated stations from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
