JK Paper Q1 profit soars 79% to Rs 26.66 cr on robust sales
Total income from operation during the period under review was up 3.61 percent to Rs 606.51 crore

New Delhi: JK Paper Ltd Monday reported 79.04 percent jump in standalone net profit to Rs 26.66 crore for the first quarter ended on June 30, 2016.[caption id="attachment_2771550" align="alignleft" width="380"]
Reuters[/caption]It had posted a net profit of Rs 14.89 crore for the April-June period of the previous fiscal, JK Paper said in a statement.Its total income from operation during the period under review was up 3.61 percent to Rs 606.51 crore as against Rs 585.35 crore of the corresponding quarter last fiscal.Commenting on the results, JK Paper Vice Chairman & Managing Director H P Singhania said: "The improvement in performance is mainly due to higher production and sales, enriched product mix, continuous improvements in operating efficiencies and input cost reduction in comparison to corresponding quarter".Shares of JK Paper settled at Rs 61.55 on BSE, up 6.58 percent from previous close.
