International media giant, CNN, is said to be in talks to acquire social news website Mashable, according to a Reuters report.
Mashable, an American news website and news blog, specialises in technology and social media.

Reuters blogger Felix Salmon reported that CNN, a unit of Time Warner group, could buy Mashable for $200 million. A formal announcement regarding the deal is expected on Tuesday.
Officials at CNN, however, denied that the announcement will be made on Tuesday, according to The New York Times.
Spokespersons at both Mashable and CNN have declined to comment on the potential acquisition.
The acquisition, if it happens, will be the largest for CNN till date.
