Hero MotoCorp Q1 net up 18% at Rs 883 crore

New Delhi: Country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today posted 18.13 per cent jump in standalone net profit to Rs 883.10 crore for the first quarter ended on June 30, 2016-17.[caption id="attachment_2520642" align="alignleft" width="380"] Reuters[/caption]The company had registered net profit of Rs 747.54 crore during the April-June period of the last financial year, Hero MotoCorp said in a BSE filing.Its net sales were up 7.70 per cent to Rs 7,901.34 crore during the period under review as against Rs 7,335.84 crore a year ago.The company's total sales stood at 1,745,389 units in the first quarter of the current fiscal, an increase of 6.04 per cent as against 1,645,867 of the first quarter of financial year 2015-16.Hero MotoCorp's other operating income in the quarter under review stood at Rs 109.32 crore, up 9.72 per cent, as against Rs 99.63 crore reported in the corresponding year-ago period.The company stock was trading 3.31 per cent higher at Rs 3,548 per scrip in the afternoon trade on BSE.
