Unisys, Cincom Ally For Document Automation
Unisys will integrate Cincom's Eloquence with the Health PAS suite.
Cincom Systems, Inc. has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Unisys Corporation in which Cincom will provide a key document automation software component for the Unisys Healthcare Payer Administration Solution (Health PAS), a federally certified Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) comprised of commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS).
Under the terms of this agreement, Unisys will integrate Cincom's Eloquence with the Health PAS suite, providing interactive and batch document automation capabilities associated with claims administration, authorisation, provider and member services, third-party liability, and other mission-critical business processes.
"At Unisys, we continually look for ways to enhance our solutions to improve our clients' critical business processes, and this partnership with Cincom will help us deliver superior document generation capabilities to our healthcare payer administration clients," said Tim Skeen, VP and CIO of Health Information Management, Unisys Corporation. "After careful evaluation of several document automation vendors and solutions, we chose to partner with Cincom based on Eloquence's ease of use for both document authors and users, ease of integration through support of open standards, and Cincom's extensive knowledge of the healthcare payer administration market. In addition, this relationship aligns directly with one of Unisys' key operating principles - the realisation that there is strength and speed of delivery in partnering with others - evident in our ability to easily integrate Cincom's Eloquence solution into our innovative Health PAS suite and bring it to market quickly."
With the integration of Cincom Eloquence, Unisys' Health PAS solution will provide public sector healthcare organisations with capabilities for designing compelling documents easily, deploying timely document communications and delivering highly personalised documents in real time.
"By integrating Cincom Eloquence with Health PAS, we are able to help Unisys provide a richer solution for healthcare organisations looking to strengthen customer relationships, minimise compliance risks, and reduce operating costs associated with document communications," stated Lori Gelter, program director, Cincom Systems. "The ability to deliver document automation solutions that are easy to use, easy to integrate, and deliver rapid and continuous return on investment is a cornerstone of Cincom. We are pleased to bring these strengths to the partnership and look forward to helping Unisys with their ongoing commitment to improving the overall healthcare experience."
