Teradata And Manthan Join Forces
Data warehousing company Teradata has partnered with Manthan Systems to deliver an 'install-and-use', data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) platform for the retail industry.
Under the partnership, Teradata will integrate its enterprise data warehouse system with ARC- Manthan's retail BI suite to provide retailers with a cost-effective solution which will enable them to make accurate business decisions.
The combined solution will allow data analysis from various retail business systems including point-of-sale (POS), inventory management, merchandise and assortment planning, warehouse and supply chain management systems.
Announcing the tie up, Atul Jalan, CEO, Manthan Systems commented, "Through this partnership, retailers would be able to realize the data warehouse and BI environment that they have always aspired to have - an environment that allows rapid deployment; yet delivers the high performance and scalability that is demanded of enterprise-class BI."
The joint initiative has already bagged a customer in the form of Haggen Food & Pharmacy, a US based supermarket chain. Haggen will be deploying ARC for enterprise-wide analysis and reporting along with Teradata's Enterprise data warehouse and high performance servers.
