TANDBERG Completes Codian Acquisition
TANDBERG will continue to develop and support the Codian and TANDBERG product lines.
TANDBERG has announced the completion of its acquisition of Codian, a developer of high-definition videoconferencing infrastructure products. The transaction, a combination of cash and stock, is valued at $270 million (USD).
"I am enthused about the value of bringing together Codian’s talent with our own team to work on future opportunities," said Fredrik Halvorsen, TANDBERG CEO. "In addition, our company gains valuable high-definition videoconferencing infrastructure products and solutions."
As a part of TANDBERG's total solution, Codian's infrastructure products, including Multipoint Control Units (MCUs), gateways, videoconferencing content servers, and management software, will provide customers with a platform for large-scale deployments of high-definition videoconferencing systems. TANDBERG will continue to develop and support the Codian and TANDBERG product lines. These include both the TANDBERG MPS line of MCUs and the Codian MCU platforms.
