SmartCards Expo 2008, a leading Smart Card Exhibition in Asia and its co-located events: e-Security Expo 2008, RFIDIndia Expo 2008, BiometricsIndia Expo 2008 and e-PaymentsIndia Expo 2008, will be held at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi between August 27-29, 2008.
Visitors to the exhibition will witness a wide variety of products, solutions in the areas of smart cards, e-security, biometrics, RFID and e-payments displayed by nearly 225 exhibitors from over 20 countries.
Smart card applications in conjunction with mobile communications, biometrics, RFID, and e-payments are fast penetrating a variety of socio-economic spheres and regions in India. These technologies are rapidly proliferating into newer application areas in the country – including national ID, access control, driving licence and vehicle registration, e-passport, retail, loyalty, banking and finance, closed-user group applications, healthcare, transit fare collection, toll collection, and so on.
Three Pre-Conference Technical Workshops and three International Conferences are being organised concurrently with the exhibition and will cover topics like advances in biometrics technology and applications; biometric deployment trends in RFID technologies – RFID in HF mode for smart cards and tags; near field communications technologies and applications.
