Companies agree to promote cloud services in SMB segment
HP and Sify Technologies Limited , jointly announced an agreement to power Sify's On-Demand cloud services using HP's Converged Infrastructure. This will allow Sify to provide demand based computing services on a pay per use or flexible contract model.

Using HP's Converged Infrastructure, Sify is launching new cloud services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for select applications under its On-Demand Hosting Platform. As part of the agreement HP and Sify will also leverage their network to promote these services in the SMB segment. Sify will also leverage HP’s network of ISV partners to offer applications on the cloud model.

"Using converged Infrastructure, Sify is able to deliver a highly scalable and expandable cloud platform that significantly reduces the time and cost of deploying new IT services. Sify's customers will be able to scale up or down resources by leveraging the full potential of virtualisation, cloud and intelligent management in the converged infrastructure."
