Microsoft Launches Response Point For Small Businesses
Microsoft has launched Internet protocol (IP) phone system codenamed 'Response Point', to enable small business customers to manage system changes themselves. The system includes voice activated user interface and supports voice over IP (VoIP) and traditional phone lines.
"I am proud and honoured to work with leaders in the computing, telephony and networking fields to bring Response Point to the market," said Xuedong Huang, general manager, Response Point, Microsoft.
Response Point features phone and service configuration wizards, auto discovery, one touch voice commands, automated receptionist, built in voice mail, voicemail to e-mail forward, incoming call notifications on the PC, Microsoft Outlook contact integration and two click backup and restore.
Response Point in beta testing will be available in three models later this year, which include D Link DVX-2000, Quanta Syspine and Uniden Evolo.
