Hexaware Launches Private Cloud Using VMware

VMware, Inc., the virtualisation and cloud infrastructure provider, has announced that VMware vCloud Director has delivered a private cloud at Hexaware Technologies, the provider of IT & BPO services and consulting Services.

Hexaware has strategically built its private cloud RAINMAKER, leveraging the VMware solution. As a result of the implementation, Hexaware will realise optimum self provisioning and enhanced security management.

The VMware vShield Endpoint solution for VMware vSphere 4.1 and VMware View 4.5 environments offer library and APIs for integrating partner security appliances that can introspect into file activity at the hypervisor layer.

"Compared to the traditional model, this private cloud helps us achieve two major objectives. Firstly, there is a cost reduction potential of up to 30% through optimising computing resources and secondly, this implementation transforms the fixed and committed cost into a variable cost model thereby providing increased flexibility to either ramp up or down in this dynamic world." said Nataraj.
