GENBAND, a developer of next-generation IP gateways and application solutions, has announced the launch of its operations in India.
The company’s multimedia applications software is currently being developed at the research and development facility in Noida.
The India facility was earlier operating under the Baypackets name, and was acquired by GENBAND in 2006.
According to Jody Bennett, VP, Marketing, GENBAND, “We are proud to formally announce the launch of our operations in India. Indian intellectual capital has gained tremendous recognition worldwide and we at GENBAND are committed to leverage this talent pool to drive our multimedia applications business. We are confident that the globalisation of telecom innovation from India will help us address the burgeoning multimedia service market worldwide.”
