Ganapathy Subramaniam succeeds S Ramadorai as Tata Elxsi head
Subramaniam is the Executive Vice President at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and head of TCS Financial Solutions, a strategic business unit of the the country's largest software exporter.

Tata Elxsi appointed TCS top executive N Ganapathy Subramaniam today as its chairman to succeed S Ramadorai.

The appointment is effective November 1, Tata Elxsi said in a statement issued here today, adding that Ramadorai stepped down from the board after attaining the age of 70.
Subramaniam is the Executive Vice President at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and head of TCS Financial Solutions, a strategic business unit of the the country's largest software exporter.
In the present capacity, Subramaniam is responsible for steering the financial products business, which operates at a global level under the brand name TCS BaNCS, it said.
The Bangalore-headquartered Tata Elxsi addresses the communications, consumer products, defence, healthcare, media and entertainment, semiconductor and transportation sectors.
