Sanjay Deshmukh has been appointed as the vice president, Business User, SAP, Indian subcontinent. Presently based out of Mumbai, Deshmukh will be responsible for its growth strategy and operations in India.
As vice president, his responsibilities will include driving strategy, business development, and sales of integrated solutions for the business user, comprising business intelligence solutions from SAP BusinessObjects, as well as enterprise information management and performance optimisation applications.
Deshmukh has been with SAP BusinessObjects for the past eight years. Under his leadership, he has led the company to create the largest market share for Business Intelligence in India. With a career spanning 14 years, Deshmukh has held key positions in renowned database software and business intelligence firms in the industry prior to joining SAP BusinessObjects.
As a key member of the global BusinessObjects network, he has made significant contributions in establishing a strong and rigorous corporate governance process, operational excellence and culture in the organisation.
