Big Data analytics company Datameer has revamped its BI platform to make analytics easier and faster. The Datameer 6 sees the addition of Spark as an execution engine. The company says its new Context Tabs speed up time to insight by allowing to move fluidly between different steps in the analytic cycle.Datameer 6 also introduces a new front-end for better user experience, making the previously linear steps of data integration, preparation, analytics and visualization a single interaction, shares the company in a statement. The statement adds that shifts in context, tools or teams are no longer required every time a data change is needed saving both time and cost over traditional analytic workflows.Spark, added to Datameer's Smart Execution technology, selects the best processing framework for every single job while abstracting complexity from the end user. “It’s not enough to just get data analytics in the hands of business users — it has to be extremely easy to use,” said Stefan Groschupf, CEO of Datameer. “The user experience has to engage them with their work and the goals of the company and the back end needs to handle all of the heavy lifting while removing the technical complexity. We’re bringing both to the market with Datameer 6.”
