Dassault Systemes Ties With Trent For Deploying PLM Soln
The solution - ENOVIA Apparel Accelerator for Design and Development - will provide Trent with greater visibility into the new product development process.
Software solution provider Dassault Systemes has entered into an agreement with Trent, a Tata Group company and operator of retail chain Westside, for deploying a product lifecycle management solution for the latter.
The solution – ENOVIA Apparel Accelerator for Design and Development – would take nine weeks to implement and would provide Trent with greater visibility into the new product development process.
"Our ability to understand what's happening at the point-of-sale and then effectively work with our suppliers and partners to translate this into new designs for subsequent seasons is crucial to our long-term success," said Gaurav Mahajan, head of buying at Trent.
With 38 Westside stores in India, Trent has to ensure that it can manage its margin and profitability by rapidly responding to changing market conditions and consumer trends.
"In order to seize new opportunities and stay ahead of competition, retailers and apparel companies understand that cost-efficient business can only be achieved by managing the product lifecycle from sample development to quality control," Dassault Systemes India country director Suman Bose said.
