Check Point, Crossbeam Go To Market With Bundled Security Offerings

Check Point Software Technologies, a player in the Internet security space, and Crossbeam Systems, a provider of next-generation security platforms for high-performance networks, have announced a joint offering for delivering Check Point security solutions on Crossbeam's carrier-class X-Series security platform.

Customers can now purchase pre-configured bundles of Check Point's security applications running on the X-Series from a preset menu of options and price points. The options were developed based on the best-selling solutions of Check Point running on Crossbeam.

Additionally, customers will be able to purchase integrated maintenance support that will be delivered by Check Point's global service organisation. This Check Point service offering will include support for Check Point's software products in addition to the Crossbeam next-generation security platform.

Amnon Bar-Lev, vice president of Global Field Operations at Check Point said, "This new offering unifies many popular security configurations into tightly integrated pre-packaged bundles, simplifying the purchasing and support processes for our customers, while improving overall network security."

There will be nine pre-configured packages to choose from, each of which includes all the components of the X-Series platform and Check Point's VPN-1 security gateway, VSX virtualised firewall or IPS intrusion detection and prevention. All of Check Point's security applications have been certified to run on the X-Series to ensure optimised performance within large, multi-vendor network environments.

"This offering is a natural extension of our expanding partnership with Check Point and significantly enhances and simplifies the customer lifecycle - from sales through service and support," said Jim Vedda, vice president of Worldwide Sales at Crossbeam Systems.

The Crossbeam and Check Point bundled offerings are available immediately.
