CA To Provide Support For IBM z10 Business Class Mainframe

CA plans to provide essential support for the new IBM System z10 Business Class (z10 BC) mainframe in its portfolio of mainframe management solutions. This support will help CA customers choosing this new platform better manage, govern, and secure their mainframe environments in order to maximise business value and fulfill their ‘Green IT’ objectives.

CA customers who participated in IBM's early testing programme are already implementing current CA solutions in conjunction with their initial z10 BC implementations.

"Enterprise IT organisations have long depended on CA for the tools and solutions they need to drive down the cost of IBM mainframe ownership and optimise performance from their data centre hardware investments," said Chris O'Malley, executive vice president and general manager of CA's Mainframe Business Unit. "This is especially important today—as mainframe staffs take on greater burdens without being allocated commensurately greater budgets."
