BEA Systems Positioned In Leaders Quadrant

BEA Systems announced that it has been positioned by Gartner in the leaders quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Application Infrastructure, 2Q07” report.

“Application infrastructure has historically been one of BEA’s core markets said Wai Wong, executive vice president of products at BEA. “BEA continues to innovate and extend the platform into new areas of technical leadership. Our continued innovation in application infrastructure, as well as dramatic improvements in the areas of performance, scalability, and total cost of ownership can help us continue to provide competitive advantage for our customers.”

BEA recently announced that it has expanded its footprint into event-driven architecture with BEA WebLogic Event Server, designed to enable event-driven SOA.

Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Application Infrastructure, 2Q07, analyses the total application infrastructure market and was based on an assessment of the functional capabilities of products that were available in the market at the beginning of 2007.
