Essar Group’s business process outsourcing (BPO) arm Aegis is in advanced talks to acquire global business communications leader, Avaya GlobalConnect (AGC), according to sources. Promotes of Avaya are learnt to be eying to exit from the company. The deal, sources say, is likely to be valued at Rs 400 crore including an initial public offer (IPO).

Aegis BPO is expected to tap India listing through Avaya acquisition. However, its IPO plans have been shelved for now, sources inform.
