Now, this has become ritual - Publicis Groupe's chairman and CEO Maurice Levy wishing the world as we approach the new year.

As he explains, he tries to try to do two things. "The first one is to be fun. So I'm trying to be fun, which is not easy for me. And second, to show that we are extremely advanced and innovative in technology," he says.

"This year is very different because what we've done is something that has never been done before. We were truly interactive; that's the reason why you need the desktop. Now, you not only need the desktop, you also need a webcam. Because, what we want to do is interact and to show that we understand who you are and with whom you are. So, if you're alone, you have one message. If you are two, you have another message. The messages increase with the more number of people you have. This is something which is a fantastic demonstration of the capability of our teams. I am very proud of them," Levy says.
