Geneva: Beer loving holiday makers should head to New Delhi for their next vacation where the average price for a 330 ml bottle is just $1.75, fifth cheapest in a list of 75 cities across the world, according to a new survey.Beer was found to be most expensive in Switzerland's second largest city of Geneva where the average price for a 330 ml bottle is $6.32, one of the most expensive on the whole planet.Geneva topped the list in terms of highest average price for beer, just beating Hong Kong where beer costs $6.16 per 330 ml bottle, according to a survey published on Wednesday by GoEuro, a German travel search engine.Tel Aviv came third with an average price of USD 5.79, followed by Oslo at USD 5.31 and New York at $5.20. Only four cities were found to stock beer cheaper than India's capital. Krakow in Poland offers cheapest beer with an average price of $1.66, followed by Ukraine's capital Kiev, Bratislava ($1.69) and Malaga ($1.72).Switzerland's largest city Zurich fared much better with an average price of USD 4.60 a bottle, the 11th most expensive in the world. The survey calculates the average price of a 330 ml bottle of beer in supermarkets and at bars to determine an overall average price.It used several worldwide brands and a local major brand in each city and converted prices to US dollars according to exchange figures from June 12. The survey also finds that people spend most on beer annually in Helsinki, whereas the least amount of beer is drunk in Cairo, with an average of just four litres a year at a cost of $25.
