In Western view, Carlsen is objective, not insulting

PTI[/caption]It appears that the remark reflects not only a generation gap but also a cultural gap. In the Indian context humility is a virtue - The highest ideals in an Indic perspective is to be wise but still remain grounded and of course humble.Carlsen is far too flamboyant from an Indic psychoanalytic perspective - he appears too shallow, naive, an immature 22-year-old bloke on cloud nine for achieving things too early in life. He might be a genius but he needs lessons on humility.On the other hand, from a western perspective (without having being born and bred in an environment of learning to please elders) his remarks might be very objective, without any intent to insult.
