If religion is paraded in public, why can't it be publicly criticised?

But is it actually? Clerics issue fatwas, call for jihad, and direct people to adopt a particular vote stance otherwise risk being excommunicated.Evangelical organizations are in the business of harvesting souls, flush with money and aid to lure people to trade their faith. Mythological characters are given larger than life importance and historical monuments are destroyed to exact retribution.So if religion is paraded in public then opposition to it should also be countenanced.If a section can glorify their religion, others have a right to trash the so called prophets, saviors and gods. The sooner this happens, it might lead to catharsis of sorts. We would avoid getting insulted and becoming murderous at the drop of a hat.
