Article 370 debate is Modi's way of appeasing the hardline Hindu

Editor's note: This was a reader comment by Banerjee, left on the article Will scrap Article 370 if we come to power: BJP, published earlier today. The comment makes the point that the BJP seems to be mixing 'inclusive' chatter with steps clearly meant to appease the party's hardline Hindutva voterbank. These are all gimmicks intended to appease its core base which are enamoured of the pet issues raised by the party namely Ram Temple, Article 370 and the common civil code which the party has long forgotten and consigned to the epitaphs.
